PlayStation 3 Officially Discontinued By Sony
PlayStation New Zealand has officially confirmed that PlayStation 3 has been officially discontinued in the country, which means people in the region will be able to buy consoles but the won't be any further shipment in the country when consoles is out of stock over there.
In a statement sent to ThoseGamers Sony confirmed that they won't be supplying new PlayStation 3 consoles to retailers ones its out of stock.
''SCNEZ will not be shipping any more PlayStation 3 consoles to it's retailers however the platform is still available in retail outlets throughout NZ and being supported with peripherals great new releases and back catalogue software.''
The PS3 was released in 2006 and became available to the US and Japanese market. According stats the PS3 has sold over 80 million units until November 2013 when PS4 hit the market.
