DICE has finally shared the release window for Battlefield 1 Open Beta on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. In a recent Twitch LiveStream session, Battlefield German Community Manager revealed that Battlefield 1 open beta will start shortly after GamesCom 2016. This means, Battlefield 1 beta will go live either at the end of August 2016 or start of September 2016, because GamesCom 2016 takes place August 17-21.
In addition to this, the Community Manager also revealed that Battlefield Insider will get access to Battlefield 1 open beta 3 days early as compared to other players.
Battlefield 1 is set in the period of World War I, and is inspired by historical events. In the game, players will get to use World War I weapons , including bolt-action rifles, automatic and semi-automatic rifles, artillery, flamethrowers, and mustard gas to kill opponents. As for the Melee combat, DICE has reworked on it and introduce new melee weapons such as sabres, trench clubs, and shovels into the game.
Battlefield 1 releases on October 21 for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One
