After delaying the release of Mortal Kombat X for the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions, publishers of the game Warner Bros has officially announced that Mortal Kombat X for the last generation consoles (PS3 and Xbox 360) has been cancelled due to the inability to get the version for the last generation consoles to reach the quality standards set by the current generation consoles.
Though is not certain exactly what went wrong, however its clear that the gradation to newer platforms its taking its toll on developers. Making a game to run on more than two or three platforms is not easy or cheap, and there isn't much motivation for developers to keep working to support last generation consoles when current generation consoles has become the norm now.
So if you are fan of the franchise and hope to play then you are forced to make a switch to PC or buy a PS4 or Xbox One.
