Devil May Cry 5 has been Officially announced and has three playable characters

Rumors appearing in recent months have been confirmed about the announcement of Devil May Cry 5 at E3 2018. This time Capcom did n’t go in the direction of restarting DmC: Devil May Cry but returned to the original series. The game will be a direct continuation of  Devil May Cry 4 released 10 years ago.

Capcom released new information on the hack and slash title along with screenshots from the new trailer. Though it’s been years since the forces of Hell have been on Earth, a new invasion has begun. Red Grave City is the battleground with a “demon tree” has taken root.

It’s up to three demon hunters – Nero, Dante and an unconfirmed character – to combat it. Each has their own unique playstyle as well – Nero has lost his demonic arm but uses a mechanic replacement developed by his new partner Nico. Dante is back, looking for revenge against the murder of his mother and Vergil’s corruption.

The development of Devil May Cry 5 is headed by Hideaki Itsuno, responsible for Devil May Cry 3 and Devil May Cry 4. The new part of the series is developed on the RE graphics Engine (the same engine was used for Resident Evil 7 Biohazard).

Devil May Cry 5 will go on sale in the spring of 2019 for the PC, PS4 and Xbox One. More information about the game will be disclosed at Gamescom 2018 in August.
