Nvidia Shield Android TV: Gets New Update
Nvidia 's flagship entertainment device received an update this morning. The 1.2 software update also comes with a host of features such as apps and games to the entertainment device.
Upgrade Include:
Sharing pictures in 4k on Ultra HD TVs with the Photos and Videos app
Delivering enhancement SD card auto-move setting
Optimization to streaming experience for Google Play Movies and Netflix
Shield Accessories Upgrade for Shield Remote for Better response
Adds notifications for low battery on shield Remote
Delivers enhancement for Nvidia GameStream (requires update to Geforce experience v2.25 beta or later)
New Apps:
Fox Sports Go- Watch live sports like the Fifa Women's World Cup or the U.S. Open
EPIX- Instantly stream thousands of Hollywood hit movies, concerts and comedy specials
CBS News- Watch CBSN sports content for NFL, MLB, NBA, NHL, NCAA Golf and more
Both EPIX and CBS news support the cross-app search function.
Apps expected to release in the near future include: HBO Now, HBO Go, Fox News, Fox Now, FX Now, Qello, Twitch, UFC, USA Today, Vimeo , Vudu and WWE.
