Metro Exodus Gets Delayed Into Q1 2019

Metro Exodus has been delayed into Q1 2019, publisher THQ Nordic has announced today. The news comes as a bit of a surprise, since the game was showcased multiple times over the course of the last couple years.

4A Games states however that the "development of Metro Exodus is progressing well," and hints at the fact that this has been a choice more due to business reasons rather than to technical issues met in the process.

The will of the team is to "deliver a product that gamers and fans of the Metro series want and deserve," while it has been "keeping an eye on announcements from our competitor products" for the 2018 release window.

"We want everyone to be able to experience what is the most ambitious Metro game to date at its absolute best and therefore we have taken the decision to move the release date to Q1 2019," a statement from 4A Games reads.

Interestingly, we've been promised a new gameplay video from a never seen before environment for the franchise and from the upcoming title will be showcased at E3 2018 in June, so we'll learn more very, very soon.
