Escape From Tarkov: New Screenshots Revealed

Announced back in November the Russian developers Battlestate Games have unveiled some new screenshots of its upcoming MMO shooter Escape from Tarkov which is set to release in 2016. The game which is powered by the Unity 5 engine will be a story driven game as everything happening in the game will be determined by the story of either man chain of events or by numerous side quests.

Set in an alternative universe around our present time in the fictional Russian city of Tarkov, the northern industrial and financial center of the country and its suburbs. The game events in turn set background for the Russia 2028 universe. The city of Tarkov is caught in a plight of the war between two private military companies triggered by illegal activities of the Terra Group transnational corporation. For the reason yet unknown, the situation in the city quickly went out of control and the local populace was evacuated. The only ones left behind were either private military contractors, the local Scavs  gunmen or shady characters of unknown origin and allegiance.

According to the developers players will be able modify the scopes, magazines, triggers, barrles and stocks to make the weapon fit inline with what they feel comfortable with. Also players will get the chance to battle other players PVP for survival gear, or working together with friends to overcome the dangers of Tarkov.

WFF Tech  posted an entire FAQ which was recently unveiled by the developers of the game sharing some details about the upcoming shooter game and the fact that the developers are considering bringing Escape From Tarkov to consoles.

The FAQ confirms that there will be a closed beta in the first quarter of 2016 and they are aiming for a second quarter release in 2016 for the full game. You can sign up for the Escape From Tarkov beta on the official site
